【摘要】:ThistestmethodprovidesacalculationprocedureforconvertingdataobtainedbyTestMethodD972toapparentvaporpressuresandmolecularweights.Ithasbeendemonstratedtobeapplicabletopetroleum-basedandsyntheticesterlubricatingoils,attemperaturesof395to535K(250to500F).However,itsapplicabilitytolubricatinggreaseshasnotbeenestablished.Note1-Mostlubricantsboiloverafairlywidetemperaturerange,afactrecognizedindiscussionoftheirvaporpressures.Forexample,theapparentvaporpressureovertherange0to0.1%evaporatedmaybeasmuchas100timesthatovertherange4.9to5.0%evaporated.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Incasesinwhichmaterials,products,orequipmentareavailableininch-poundunitsonly,SIunitsareomitted.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityorregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see6.2,7.1,and8.2.
