【摘要】:ThisguideprovidesinformationontestingsystemsandtheircomponentsusedformeasuringresponsesofCOalarmsordetectorssubjectedtogases,vapors,andtheirmixtures.Componentsofatestingsystemincludeachamber,cleanairsupplymodule,humidificationmodule,gasandvapordeliverymodule,andverificationandcontrolinstrumentation.TheCOdetectoristestedbysequentialexposuretoCOandinterferencegasesatthespecifiedchallengeconcentrations.Aproperlyfunctioningalarm/detectorwillsounduponsufficientexposuretoCObutwillnotsounduponanyexposuretointerferencegasesconsistentwithapplicablestandards(forexample,IAS6-96(1)6,BS7860,UL2034).1.1Thisguidedescribestestingsystemsusedformeasuringresponsesofcarbonmonoxide(CO)alarmsordetectorssubjectedtogases,vapors,andtheirmixtures.1.2ThesystemsareusedtoevaluateresponsesofCOdetectorstovariousCOconcentrations,toverifythatthedetectorsalarmatcertainspecifiedCOconcentrations,andtoverifythatCOdetectorsdonotalarmatcertainotherspecifiedCOconcentrations.1.3ThesystemsareusedforevaluatingCOdetectorresponsestogasesandvaporsthatmayinterferewiththeabilityofdetectorstorespondtoCO.1.4Majorcomponentsofsuchatestingsystemincludeachamber,cleanairsupplymodule,humidificationmodule,gasandvapordeliverymodule,andverificationandcontrolinstrumentation.1.5Foreachcomponent,thisguideprovidesacomparisonofdifferentapproachesanddiscussestheiradvantagesanddisadvantages.1.6Thisguidealsopresentsrecommendationsforaminimumconfigurationofatestingsystem.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Formorespecificsafetyprecautionaryinformation,see6.2.
