【摘要】:Thistestmethoddifferentiatesamongwheelbearinggreaseshavingdistinctlydifferenthigh-temperatureleakagecharacteristics.Itisnottheequivalentoflongtimeservicetests.Thistestmethodhasproventobehelpfulinscreeninggreaseswithrespecttoleakagetendenciesforautomotivewheelbearingapplications.Note18212;Itispossibleforskilledoperatorstoobservechangesingreasecharacteristicsthatcanoccurduringthetest,suchasgreasecondition.Leakageisreportedasaquantitativevalue,whereastheevaluationofgreaseconditionissubjecttodifferencesinpersonaljudgmentamongoperatorsandcannotbeusedeffectivelyforquantitativemeasurements.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedureforevaluatingleakagetendenciesofwheelbearinggreaseswhentestedunderprescribedconditions.1.2si-value;Theexceptionisapparatusdimensions,ininches,whicharetoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSection8.
